Homeschool

Soo... Jeremiah and I have decided to tryo homeschooling and we are very excited- as is Alyse!! I have been doing a few days a week of school with Alyse and with Grant when I can catch his interest. Here are a few pictures of some of the things we did this week! We had a lot of fun!

We did a unit on fire safety and this game is called stop drop and roll. Its a math game where we roll the dice and then add up the total and cross out the number on our cards. The first to get all their numbers wins!!

Closer view... Alyse rocks at these types of games. I think she has single digit addition down.

Matcht the Community helper to the vehicle they drive. This one was more for Grant, but they both enjoyed it.

They both got to choose from the game above which they want to be when they grow up. Alyse said she wanted to be a Chef named Barbie and she colored it pink... as you see.. Grant chose an astronaut bc he wants to see the moon and stars.

Here are a bunch of other activities we did- One is our fire escape plan and the others stem off a book we have been reading this week called "If Jesus came to my house" Where we discuss treating others with kindness.

This has been the first week where we have really set aside 2+ hours a day toward learning. Its been great!
