Just be GRATEFUL already! ...

"What if you woke up today with only the things you thanked
God for yesterday?"

So, I am sure all of my 2 readers know that Jeremiah is out of work as of a month ago. Things looked really optimistic even a few short days after he lost his job- we had 2 companies calling and that were interested in talking with him. I thought to myself- "Self, can it really be THIS easy??" The answer is no. Its not easy to find a job. Its actually pretty frustrating we've come to find... Neither of the companies have called back and my mood and motivation have slowly been slipping down-hill. I think its been really easy to feel sorry for myself- especially not knowing where we are going to be when I go into labor- which Dr., which hospital- where will my baby call home when she arrives? ... These have all been really hard for me to think about and not know the answer. You know what though? I'm REALLY getting tired of feeling sorry for myself and worrying- especially because I do know that things will be just fine. Eventually we will find a job, and it doesn't matter where I have this baby- the great thing is that WE ARE HAVING A BABY!!! Cant I just be happy about the things that I do have? Why is this so hard to do when we are deeply blessed every day? I have felt the Lords hand in my life- and I have received MANY blessings that act as a testament that my Heavenly Father is aware of our family and that he loves us. So- being NOVEMBER- a month to be grateful for the blessings we enjoy- here are a few things that I am grateful for- keeping in perspective that ALL trials are meant to make us stronger and will eventually end.

I am grateful for my family, husband, children, parents, grandparents, and in-laws! The peace I feel when my heart is open to the will of my Heavenly Father. I'm grateful for good friends and the example a ward full of service-minded people. I am grateful to know who I am and that my life has a purpose. I am grateful for my talents. I am very grateful to be sealed to my family for Eternity as I live my life in accordance with the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I am grateful for a warm home, food, clothing- especially the winter clothing given to us from the kind people in our ward. I'm grateful for 2 working cars, a vacuum, oven, a washer and a dryer, and beds. I have been healthy this whole pregnancy- never even got sick in the early months, and baby Claire is growing perfectly and is also very healthy. What greater blessing can we ask for than for the ones we love to be happy and healthy? If you feel burdened with life's trials- make a list of all the things you are grateful for! It does wonders to lift your spirits and give you the right perspective!

"I've learned from experience that the greater part
of our happiness or misery depends on our dispositions
and not on our circumstances...." Martha Washington.

Below are some pictures of my beautiful children!!

Alyse is feeling pretty cool sitting up there on the windowsill

It snowed a few days ago

Precious boy

Good ole fun!!

This picture was taken today- Jeremiah had to bring Grant back in- because he was missing something pretty important....

Pants are pretty important, to ADULTS at least

He's pretty cute though...

Finally tackled him and got some warm clothes on that baby body..

Grant is interested in anything manly or semi-dangerous...

He looks innocent, but really he is scheming....

Alyse loves being outside- playing in her 'garden'..

'fixing' the car for his momma...

Thanks Grant- That's really helpful dude.

Yes.... I am watching you

"Hey Mom!!! it kinda looks like a..."

"Frizbee!!!" As it rolls into the street.....

I finally got him to stop fixing the car and play in the garden with his sister!

She was very intent on burying her Halloween candy and had a great time outdoors! Its been cold here so we are GRATEFUL for some sunshine to play in!!

You are an incredible woman. It's easy to feel frustrated and although you guys are going through a trying time, you'll be taken care of by the Lord. I love you!
